If you have experienced a sports or athletic injury you may also suffer from some form of a neck injury. Patients involved in an auto accident will usually experience neck pain and whiplash associated pain.
A medical examination is necessary to identify the cause of the neck pain and to determine the appropriate course of treatment. Neck pain is usually treated with non-surgical methods. However, if symptoms progress or continue, there are a variety injection medicine procedures or interventional pain management procedures to reduce inflammation and pain.
In some cases, if our pain specialists determine it is appropriate, a patient may be referred to a surgeon for a surgical consultation.
