What Causes Hip Pain?
Hip pain can develop from injury, arthritis, bursitis, muscle imbalance, tendon inflammation, nerve irritation, or degeneration within the hip joint itself. Because the hip plays a major role in weight-bearing movement and stability, pain in this area can significantly affect walking, standing, exercise, and daily activity.
Patients with hip pain may experience aching, stiffness, sharp pain, reduced mobility, or discomfort that radiates into the groin, buttocks, or thigh. In some cases, lower back or sacroiliac joint conditions may also contribute to hip discomfort.
Hip pain can develop gradually from repetitive stress and wear and tear or occur suddenly following trauma or injury. Accurate diagnosis is important in determining whether the pain originates from the hip joint, surrounding muscles and tendons, or referred pain from the spine.
At Arizona Pain Treatment Centers, our providers utilize physical rehabilitation, conservative therapies, and advanced pain management procedures designed to reduce inflammation, restore mobility, and improve overall function.
