Innovation That Matters: New Advanced Laser Technology Features

Maximum Energy Laser Treatment (MELT)More Power – More Treatment Options – More Results
The Pinnacle Series Laser System features advanced laser technology and can deliver more energy than other therapy lasers (Maximum Energy Laser Treatment – MELT). The additional power coupled with our optimal wavelength and treatment beam size, result in deeper penetration, significantly faster treatment times and delivery of the proper therapeutic dosage. These features provide health care professionals an enhanced and superior ability to treat difficult conditions and ultimately provide better clinical outcomes to all patients.

Our laser technology can deliver more energy than other therapy lasers. More power equates to deeper penetration, faster treatment times and delivery of the proper therapeutic dosage, an enhanced ability to treat difficult conditions, and ultimately better clinical outcomes.

Fast and Effective Pain Relief

Our laser treatments offer fast and effective relief of inflammation, which is the primary cause of pain and discomfort. In addition, inflammation prevents you from healing quickly from surgery or accidents.

Laser Therapy also has a very beneficial effect on nerve cells by blocking pain transmitted by cells to the brain and decreasing nerve sensitivity. Another pain blocking mechanism involves the production of high levels of pain killing chemicals such as endorphins, enkephalins, and opiods from the brain and adrenal gland.

Clinically Proven, FDA Cleared

Our Laser Therapy treatments are safe and effective in treating patents for a wide variety of health conditions and chronic and acute pain.

Accelerated Tissue Repair and Cell Growth

Photons of light from lasers penetrate deeply into tissue and accelerate cellular reproduction and growth. The laser light also increases the energy available to the cell, allowing better absorption of nutrients and the reduction of waste products. As a result of exposure to laser light, cells, including the cells of tendons, ligaments and muscles, are repaired faster.

Improve Nerve Function

Slow recovery of nerve functions in damaged tissue can result in numbness and impaired limbs.

Our laser treatments are an effective way to speed and improve nerve regeneration.

Common Queries and Questions

For Patients

How are treatments performed?

Our Doctor performs the Laser Pain Treatments and therapy by positioning the laser hand-piece approximately 1/2″ directly above the skin and surrounding the area of injury and pain with the laser treatment beam. This is a drug-free, non-invasive treatment that is safe and effective.

How many treatments are needed?

Our Class IV Laser Therapy produces results quickly and most acute conditions, 5-6 treatments is all that is needed. Chronic conditions take longer and might require 6-12 treatments. While these are the averages, each person is unique and healing time varies by person and condition. For those with lifelong conditions your doctor may recommend 1 or 2 follow-up treatments each month. This treatment may be in addition to conservative care and manual medicine for optimal results!

Is Class IV Laser Therapy safe without side effects?

Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) has been in use for over thirty years around the world. There have been almost no side effects reported. Occasionally some old injuries or pain syndromes may feel aggravated for a few days, as the healing response becomes more active after a treatment.

How long will a treatment take?

Depending on the condition, treatment times for this drug-free, non-invasive procedure will last on average 5-10 minutes but is based on the size of the area, depth of the penetration needed, and condition being treated.

Will the treatment hurt?

Most patients notice a warm, often soothing feeling. There is no pain associated with a treatment. Many patients experience pain relief, reduced muscle tension and tightness, reduced inflammation, and improved range of motion.

When can normal activity begin again?

The moment a person leaves the clinic, they may resume normal daily activity. It is important for patients to remember to not overexert themselves for a few days, as the body is still healing.

Will insurance cover treatments?

This depends on your insurance provider. If insurance does not cover the cost of treatments, your practice may have affordable payment plans available.

How does Class IV Laser Therapy work?

When the photons of laser tight penetrate the skin and underlying tissue, they are absorbed by the cells, and converted into energy. The cell membrane permeability is altered, which triggers a cascade of cellular events including:

  • Stimulation of ATP
  • Stimulation of respiratory chain
  • Increased DNA and RNA synthesis
  • Increased levels of beta endorphins and serotonin
  • Enhanced collagen synthesis

What advantage does Class IV Laser Therapy have over other forms of treatment?

Class IV Laser Therapy does not require the use of drugs or surgery, and there are no dangerous side effects or risks. In addition, Class IV Laser Therapy provides enhanced treatment outcomes faster than any other treatment modality.

How is Class IV Laser Therapy better than “Cold Laser Therapy” treatments?

Cold Laser Therapy (or LLLT – Low Level Light Therapy) was introduced into the USA in 2001 with low power levels. Since that time new scientific and clinical discoveries have led to the development of the higher power lasers, including the new Class IV Laser Therapy.

Why Physical Rehabilitation & Chiropractic?

Proper movement is crucial to breaking the pain cycle and beginning the healing process. We know that when the body is in a state of inflammation, imbalances will develop and we often begin to move incorrectly to compensate.

Tightened muscles, muscles spasms, and leaning away from the site of pain are all natural defenses the body uses to protect an injury.

Unfortunately, these protections often do more harm than good. Many times just getting the body to move correctly and increasing proper exercise will decrease if not eliminate your pain. Our team will design a treatment plan that includes in office rehab visits as well as  home exercises and stretches.

The video above explains decompression therapy and the benefits it can offer.

Why Physical Rehabilitation, Chiropractic Care & Laser Pain Therapy before and after Spinal Injections?

As a multi-specialty team, we realize how important conservative treatments like physical rehab,  physical therapy, chiropractic care, myofascial release(ART), laser pain therapy and massage are in aiding the healing process. We also understand what a patient needs that is not reaching certain benchmarks in their recovery process. Advanced pain treatment procedures may be the next step in the recovery process.

Interventional Pain Management treatments(spine injections), are designed to flush out inflammation and reduce the chemical irritation to nerves, muscles, and joints. In our experience, placing medication solution directly at the site of inflammation can put out the “fire” that is causing your pain. This create a gap for effective conservative care treatments.

If a minimally Invasive Laser Spine Surgery is the best option for pain relief, Laser Pain Therapy after the surgery complements the healing process and promotes the best patient outcomes for pain relief. Utilizing our physician’s advanced skills, we carefully design treatment plans based on each individually patient and work side by side before and after surgery and injections.

What Should You Expect?

At Arizona Pain Treatment Centers,  we believe that reducing the chemical cause of pain is not enough. We address your pain on two fronts, chemical (inflammation) and structural (muscle spasm and imbalance).

Our highly trained physicians have created rehabilitation programs that will address the structural problems that develop from prolonged chemical irritation, pain, and imbalance.

Once we are able to decrease your pain and you can tolerate therapies, we can then begin a rehab program that will not only get you feeling better but teach you how to deal with minor flare-ups of pain in the future. We utilize a wide range of manual techniques and rehabilitative exercises to get you back enjoying your life.

There is no magic wand when it comes to relieving the body of pain, but we believe proper exercise and restoring normal range of motion to the body is crucial to healing.
